Celebrate International Day of People with Disability with a fantastic free community event for children and families.
There will be a jumping castle, face painting, fairy floss, helium balloons, sausage sizzle, a quiet sensory space and a performance from some talented Lifestart kids.
Free Community Picnic for Children with Disability

Burwood Park Community Centre, 2 Comer Street
An inclusive event with free petting zoo, jumping castle, face painting, sausage sizzle, fairy floss, Mobile Playvan, a quiet sensory space and performances from some talented Lifestart kids.
Organised by Lifestart with support from Burwood Council.
Getting there:
Burwood Park has a children’s playground, shade, accessible toilets, a picnic area and a café.
By car
There is parking in the streets surrounding the park. Westfield Burwood offers 2 hours free parking. There is also a paid parking station on George Street which is a 5 minute walk from the park.
By public transport
Burwood train station is a 5 minute walk from the park. There are also bus stops along Burwood road.
Preparing your child:
If you would like to help your child prepare and know what to expect from the event you can talk to them in advance about the activities that will be happening on the day. There will be a quiet sensory area to go to if you or your child is feeling overwhelmed or over-stimulated.
