Held in the beautiful historic grounds of Marrickville’s Ferncourt Public School, Ferncourt Family Fair opens the gates at 10am on Saturday 9th May with the fun continuing until 4pm. It’s an old school fair with some inner west flair! Grab a barista-made coffee and hunt for hidden pre-loved treasures in the white elephant, second hand clothing, books and plant stalls. Meanwhile the kids will enjoy the numerous carnival rides on offer, face painting, temporary tattoos and craft activities. Then, they can find a gift for mum at the famous Ferncourt craft stall. Bid on the silent auction and grab some lunch from a street food stall – whether you’re craving Vietnamese, Brazilian BBQ, Lebanese lentils or simply a snag on a roll there is something for everyone with plenty for dessert. Enjoy some live music before relaxing in the beautiful surrounds of the rose garden with a classic Devonshire tea. Then stock up the pantry with home-made chutneys and jams, and as many baked goods as you can carry!
