Inner Sydney Montessori School

We believe children learn best when they are active participants in their own education.

Our calm, carefully prepared environments empower each child to learn at their own pace, developing real-world skills, building strong foundations for life.

For more than 45 years, we have partnered with families to provide authentic Montessori education in Balmain from birth to 12 years and support children in developing independence, responsibility, and a genuine love of learning.

When given the freedom to explore alongside the guidance and structure they need to thrive, children develop far more than academic knowledge. They develop the ability to think critically, solve problems and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

In an ever-evolving world, our commitment remains the same: to nurture curious, capable and confident young people who feel connected to themselves, their community and the world around them.

Our school delivers the outcomes of the Australian Montessori National Curriculum, NSW Early Years Learning Framework and the NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA) K-6 Curriculum.
