A new Inner West adventure playground- Charles Heath Reserve Community

In recent months the City of Canada Bay opened the new $5.72 million Charles Heath Reserve Community and Play Space on Queens Road, Five Dock, next to Five Dock Leisure Centre. We checked it out this week and were seriously impressed!

The transformation features a brand-new, all abilities adventure playground, as well as picnic shelters, barbecues, filtered water stations and an amenity building with changing tables.

The playground, which is fully enclosed, caters to a wide range of age groups and abilities. There are two large play towers to choose from, one for younger children and the second for older kids, which include multiple climbing nets and slides.

For the littlies, there are also small slides, swings, diggers and water play.

Kids can also enjoy nature play spots, musical instruments and a cosy cocoon.

Charles Heath Reserve Playground was designed in line with the NSW Government’s Everyone Can Play guidelines and features a smooth soft fall surface that is easier to navigate and a wheelchair accessible trampoline and carousel.

A decorative overhead structure provides some shade from the sun, but we recommend wearing sun cream and a hat while at the playground.

There is ample parking in a dedicated car park adjacent to the playground.

The nearest bus routes are the 415 from Chiswick to Campsie, 530 from Burwood to Chatswood and the 461x along Parramatta Road.
