Balmain Care for Kids

Balmain Care for Kids is a Child Care organisation that has proudly been in the local Balmain community for the last 24 years. We have 3 child care centres that cater specifically to children's age groups, including a Nursery, Preschool and After School Care.

To assist our families with their busy schedules, our centres are open for extended hours during the day. Opening hours - Nursery 7:15am-6:15pm, Preschool 7:00am-6:30pm, and After School Care 3:00 to 6:15pm. We are open from Monday to Friday each week.

What we provide.....

• Higher child-to-educator ratios.
• Low educator turn-over.
• Breakfast, morning tea, a hot lunch, afternoon tea, and a late afternoon snack.
• Sun cream, linen and hats for excursions.
• Use of online daily diary platform, KindyHub, where parents can view and comment on their child's daily experiences, sleep and meal times and more.
• Free information evenings for parents to attend each year with guest speakers on topics of interest, such as potty training, behavioural guidance, use of technology for children and school readiness.
• Strong School Readiness program for the Preschool children to provide them with the best head start to Primary School.
• Literacy programs for Preschool children - "LetterLand" and Macquarie University's "PreLit" program used.
• Age-appropriate maths, literacy and science activities.
• Annual visits from the Dentist to discuss dental hygiene - Preschool only.
• Annual speech assessments conducted by local Speech Pathologist - Preschool only.
• Regular excursions based on the children's interests. Previous excursions included; Taronga Zoo, the Aquarium, and the Powerhouse Museum.

Our fees for 2020 are.....$160 for 0-2 years, $155 for 2-3 years & $144 3-5 years.

We are so passionate about our centres, our Philosophy and the beautiful community we have built here at Balmain Care for Kids. We feel privileged and honoured that we are able to provide this one of a kind service for the community within the Balmain area.
