Held in the beautiful historic grounds of Marrickville’s Ferncourt Public School, Ferncourt Family Fair opens the gates at 10am on Saturday 13th May with the fun continuing until 4pm. It’s an old school fair with some inner west flair! Grab a barista-made coffee and hunt for hidden pre-loved treasures in the white elephant, second hand clothing, books and plant stalls. Meanwhile the kids will enjoy the numerous carnival rides on offer, face painting, slime games, hair braiding and temporary tattoos and, craft activities and . Then, they can find a gift for mum at the famous Fferncourt craft stall. Spin the chocolate wheel, bid on the silent auction and grab some lunch from our a street food stalls – whether you’re craving Vietnamese, Brazilian BBQ, Lebanese lentils or simply a snag on a roll there is something for everyone with plenty for dessert. Enjoy some live music before relaxing in the beautiful surrounds of the rose garden with a classic Devonshire tea. Then stock up the pantry with home-made chutneys and jams, and as many baked goods as you can carry!
This year’s Fair will also be featuring a special set at midday on the live stage by The Sticker Club to launch their second album Destination Rock and Roll Station (ABC Music). The Sticker Club is a kids’ band with a difference (and more guitars) that appeals to both the adults and kids, where 60s style bubblegum pop collides with the indie-rock roots of its band members.
