The City of Sydney is on the look out for young people aged 15-24 to be part of their Youth Opportunities Program. Aiming to to empower young people to have a voice, act on matters that concern them and actively contribute to shaping City of Sydney events, this program will see 15-24 year olds involved in:
🟢 attending engaging meetings and contributing unique ideas, opinions and perspectives and contributing to digital engagement with young people through the Cit of Sydney’s TikTok channel
🟢 co-designing and shaping key City of Sydney events such as Youth Week and International Day of People with Disability with other participants
🟢 taking part in monthly workshops and training sessions, offering them the knowledge and confidence to organise and lead community activities and events.
Some of the Youth Opportunities Program benefits include:
✅ making a real impact in the community
✅ developing leadership skills by attending specialised training sessions
✅ networking with like-minded young people
✅ gaining practical experience in event management, marketing, communication and community engagement
✅ receiving a signed certificate of recognition by the Lord Mayor of Sydney.
The program is open to young people who live, work, study or play in the City of Sydney local area.
