Blak Markets is back live on Bare Island on Sunday 5 December 2021 kicking off at 10.00am and running through till 3.00pm.
CEO, Peter Cooley, said "we had a great re-opening Market and our stallholders are busy preparing for a great christmas market of their beautiful authentic products."
The Blak Markets is a great chance to buy unique gifts knowing that 100% of the profits are going back into Aboriginal communities. This Blak markets features Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stallholders selling Arts, Crafts and Bushfoods including Native Plants, award winning Jewellery and Pure Silk Scarves.
The Blak Markets will kick off with a Welcome to Country and performances by the legendary Bidjigal elder and singer Vic Simms and Traditional Aboriginal Cultural group Ngambaa Dhalaay.
The Blak Markets are conducted in partnership with Randwick City Council and are held in Kamay-Botany Bay National Park and supported by Suncorp..
Attndees will be required to sign in with the event QR code and maintain social distance.
All proceeds raised go towards employing local Indigenous youth
