Description
Lifestart is celebrating International Day of People with Disability with a fantastic community event.
There will be a jumping castle, face painting, helium balloons, sausage sizzle, a quiet sensory space and a performance from some talented Lifestart kids. We will be collecting donations to support our programs from children and young people with disability.
Getting there:
The event is at Ashfield Park. This park has a children’s playground, plenty of shade, accessible toilets, a picnic area and barbecues.
By car – There is plenty of parking in the streets surrounding the park.
By public transport – there are bus stops along Parramatta rd and on Orpington and Ormond Streets around the park. Summer Hill train station is a 10 minute walk from the park.
Preparing your child:
If you would like to help your child prepare and know what to expect from the event here is a list of what will be happening and some visuals. There will be a quiet sensory area to go to if you or your child is feeling overwhelmed or over-stimulated. Lifestart allied health staff will be at the event to support you and your child if you need it.
