Little Bozu and Kon Kon

My name is Mayu Iwasaki, and I would love to invite you to enjoy my puppet show, Little Bozu and Kon Kon!

Little Bozu and Kon Kon is a 35min puppet show for 4-9 years olds. But of course, kids of all ages up to 105 years old are encouraged to come too!

It is part of Riverside Parramatta's SPOT ON Children's Festival and will be on 4 - 5 October 2024 at the Lenox Theatre, Riverside Parramatta.

Every component of this show is crafted with care and love. I wrote the story inspired by Japanese folklore, carefully hand-painted and crafted the set by myself, designed the puppets and developed them with the assistance of Monkey Baa Theatre.

What is "Little Bozu and Kon Kon" about?

Little Bozu and Kon Kon follows a shapeshifting raccoon and a misunderstood fox from different worlds. They find each other in a shared need for friendship and, from it, accept their differences. After a series of mistaken identities, Little Bozu and Kon Kon find solace in each other’s uniqueness.
