Join Australia’s largest cultural and science celebration of the ocean – the 2025 Ocean Lovers Festival where art, ideas, music and a movement all collide in a fun and festive program of events across the month of March. From on water excursions for sea science restoration and indigenous sites to free talks, ocean friendly markets, all day music stages and art displays, there is plenty to explore.
Films, cooking classes, workshops and actions like a beach clean and a marine bioblitz provide engaging ways to get involved and do something for a healthy ocean. Find out about seals and seahorses, sharks and whales and what clever scientists and innovators are doing to support our beloved ocean playground.
Throughout the month of March the public can choose from a huge range of free and ticketed all-ages, friendly activities, learning fun and practical ways to love the ocean. Check the website for the calendar of events across Sydney.
