Sydney Youth Orchestras (SYO) is thrilled to bring the power of music to the iconic White Bay Power Station as part of the free Power Up Festival, taking place from Friday, 20 September to Sunday, 22 September.

On Sunday, 22 September, join SYO for a day filled with orchestral magic, featuring the highly anticipated "Inner West Sounds" concert and a special musical adventure for children with our interactive ‘Meet the Orchestra’ sessions.

Start your child’s musical journey with an interactive ‘Meet the Orchestra’ session presented by SYO's Peter Seymour Orchestra. Perfect for little ones of all ages, this enchanting session introduces children to the captivating world of orchestral sounds. From the soaring violins to the booming drums, each instrument comes to life with familiar tunes like Grieg’s ‘In The Hall of the Mountain King,’ Bizet’s ‘Farandole,’ and beloved movie themes from Harry Potter, Encanto, and Frozen. These sessions are designed to inspire young minds and ignite a lifelong love of music. Event access is free, so bring the whole family and let the music sweep you away.
