Five Dock has so much to offer.  Being only 9kms to the CBD, It has a great village feel with quality lifestyle strips in Five Dock and Wareemba.  It is accessible via the City West Link and Parramatta Road and still close enough to Victoria Road.  There are various walks along the water near Hen and Chicken Bay, the ever popular Bay Walk, great playgrounds, fantastic shopping at Birkenhead Point and Westfield Burwood, the best Italian coffee with great bakeries and a variety of local restaurants to choose from.  The beauty of being close to the water and its wonderful community and family feel, makes you never want to leave.

Prices have certainly gone up quite considerably over the last 18 months, as has most areas of Sydney but we are starting to see more and more young families from out of area looking at Five Dock as a more affordable option.  You tend to get more for your money, than say areas closer to the city like Leichhardt and Balmain.  Five Dock and surrounding suburbs offer more off street parking, wider streets and larger block sizes with decent sized backyards.  Gorgeous, solid character homes are a main attraction for families and Canada Bay Council are very reasonable to deal with if buyers want to extend their home and add more value.
