Silicon Quantum Computing (SQC) is a well-funded Australian start-up seeking to commercialise silicon quantum computing technology developed in Australia – technology that has the potential to have a global impact. SQC is looking for an energetic Financial Accountant to join their team on a part time basis. This is a broad hands-on role encompassing AP management, monthly payroll and financial reporting and compliance. This role and SQC are based at UNSW Sydney. This position is expected to be 15-25 hours per week, remuneration pro-rated accordingly.
The responsibilities
Accounts Payable processing and management of AP inbox
Reconciliations of bank and supplier accounts
Monthly payroll processing, including payroll taxes and superannuation
Monthly IAS and quarterly BAS statement preparation and lodgement
Fixed Asset management
Monthly GL reconciliations and management reporting pack
The successful applicant will have
5+ years' experience across Accounts Payable, Management Reporting and Business
Activity compliance
Proficiency with Xero
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent Excel skills
Ability to enhance reporting and challenge the status quo
Can do attitude and ability to think outside the box
