The Opportunity
We’re looking for a part time SMSF Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of SMSFs. You’ll play a key role in delivering compliance work, liaising with clients and auditors, and staying across regulatory changes.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
-Manage a portfolio of SMSF clients
-Prepare and review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and audit documentation
-Liaise with the ATO, clients, auditors and financial planners
-Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices
-Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as required
Qualifications and Experience
-Bachelor degree in Commerce, Accounting or similar
-Minimum 2-3 years experience in SMSF administration
-Strong technical knowledge of SMSF legislation and tax compliance
-Excellent communication skills
-Attention to detail and ability to work independently
-Experience with BGL 360 software
Salary level will be commensurate with experience, education and the ability to display exceptional communication skills
