Product recall: Ikea Heroisk and Talrika dinner sets

A product recall notice has been issued for two IKEA plastic dinner set ranges.

Bowls, plates and mugs in the Heroisk and Talrika ranges have been recalled for breaking while in use.

The ACCC’s Product Safety recall notice states: “If the product breaks when it is filled with hot liquid, this can increase the risk of burns, scalding or serious injury.”

If you own these products, IKEA advises you to cease using them and return them to an IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required.

The affected items were available for sale from 1 August 2019 to 4 May 2021, in-store and online.
