⭐ ATYP Winter Holiday Workshops
Winter holidays are just around the corner and so are ATYP holiday Workshops!
Book before Friday 14 June to secure your Earlybird discount.
We have classes for school years K–12 and all experience levels. Workshops range from 2 to 5 days. There really is something for everyone.
Running 8–19 July, the program includes Film Making, Scene Work and HSC Preparation for older children, and slapstick comedy, drama adventures and monster stories for younger kids.
Join us at the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct or East Sydney Community Arts Centre, Darlinghurst for classes led by industry-trained Teaching Artists. Aftercare is available until 5pm for an additional fee.
Some highlights: Film Making: Thriller
Create your own short thriller film, working in front and behind the camera. Learn how lighting, sound and editing can build the tension to the next level!
Years 3 – 4
Write, rehearse and present your own comic sketches to your family and friends at the end of the week and leave them rolling in the aisles
Years K-2
This fun two-day workshop is a great way to dive in and have some fun with drama skills, creative play and games.
Years 10-12
This course will give you the skills required to work with a scene from a first script read through to getting up on the floor and performing.

⭐ GeckoSports Inner West
GeckoSports has 2 super fun holiday events coming up in July, both held at JF Laxton Reserve in Dulwich Hill.
Footy Fever – Tuesday 16th July 9am-12pm
Action packed footy fun with 3 footy codes: Football/ Soccer, AFL & Rugby League.
This program will be for kids who love kicking the ball, no matter what shape it is and/ or those who have a desire to learn all 3 codes and have a bit of fun improving their skills in fun modified games. Suitable for all skill levels, ages 5 to 12. Our coaches will modify activities and split into groups according to skill level and age where appropriate. There will be no contact/ tackling allowed in any of the codes.

Mini-Olympic Games – Wednesday 17th July 9am-12pm
Paris Olympics is not far away and kids are getting excited to see our Aussie athletes compete on the international stage.
Our holiday program will include athletics activities (running, jumping, throwing), soccer, volleyball and softball skill-based activities and modified games that are fun and inclusive for all. Every child that attends will also receive their very own gold medal.
Price: $60 if booked more than 2 weeks before 2nd July (regular $80). Siblings 25% discount.

Join SYO for a week of music-making in a vibrant and fun atmosphere where you can challenge yourself musically and connect with like-minded young musicians.
SYO Winter School is open to any student who plays an orchestral instrument, from beginners to advanced players at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. No auditions or SYO enrollment are required to attend the holiday programs.
The Winter School offers exceptional orchestral training led by some of Australia’s finest conductors and tutors. Over five engaging and intensive days, students will participate in rehearsals and tutorials within chamber strings, wind band, or orchestral settings, tailored to various musical levels. Encourage your child to explore the fascinating world of electronics and E-waste in a fun and educational way. Who knows, they might discover their passion for innovation with our workshop Tinkering with Tools for Kids: Electronics and E-waste. During the class, we’ll get into the basics of tinkering by practicing the skill of intentionally deconstructing old devices, and explore some of the mechanisms of what makes them work. We’ll chat about E-waste in Australia and how we can be better manage our own waste, including how we can use reclaimed materials from this process in artistic creations.
