Inner West Mum Wins Gold at 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards!

Despite the challenges local businesses are facing, Josephine Lancuba from Sydney who founded Musical Makers Club and Show Your Talent, has been named the Ausmumpreneur Creative Arts Award winner.

Josephine, a member of the IWM Business Network Facebook community, is Creative Director of the Musical Makers Club which operates from Stanmore plus four other Sydney locations. Show Your Talent (a talent competition), originally launched in the Inner West, now operates across Australia both in-person and virtually.

Normally the awards ceremony is a large live gala event in each state. This year the event was held online via Zoom where thousands of talented mums in business from all over the country, tuned in to the livestream to support and encourage other Australian mumpreneurs.

Josephine said she was excited to win in her category in the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards in such a challenging time.

Josephine says: “I was thrilled to win this award after such a turbulent year in business. I was so grateful to be recognised for our recent innovations. My team and I essentially reinvented our business within 7 days, just before NSW was in lockdown. We swiftly moved from being an in-person, Sydney only service, to bringing our productions and programs to the virtual space. We now attract students and members nationally. This award is a wonderful validation of the work served to the community”.
