ATYP

Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) is the national youth theatre company, creating theatre for and by young people for all audiences. For nearly 60 years, ATYP has been at the forefront of theatre that champions young peoples’ voices and strives to create transformative theatre experiences that inspire all ages. In addition to world-class theatre productions, ATYP offers high-quality drama Workshops, a renowned Writing program, and a thriving Education branch that connects schools to Australia’s leading youth theatre company.

In January 2022, ATYP moved into our forever-home in Pier 2/3, part of the brand-new Walsh Bay Arts Precinct in Dawes Point, right in sight of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Part of this new venue is The Rebel Theatre, named after alumna and the theatre’s namesake, Rebel Wilson.
