- Hi, I'm Liz -

I am a psychologist who is primarily interested in relationships and how relationships have and continue to affect us as individuals. Good relationships are crucial to happiness, success and fulfilment. Let’s work together to build better communication, understanding and awareness.

Since meeting my husband and having children, the psychology of relationships has gained my attention. When I was pregnant with our second child, I started formally training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy so that I too could have the best tools for communicating within my marriage under the pressures of parenting, a goal shared by the many parents I work with in therapy.

In my work with individuals, I lean toward psychological models that help my clients understand engrained patterns that are limiting, unhelpful and harmful. It’s in times of significant change or loss that we become confronted with our own relationship with ourselves. Many of the individuals I work with present with patterns of anxieties, insecurities and mood issues interfering with self esteem and motivation.

In 2020, I took my first steps in training therapists in couples therapy and I am hoping that 2022 is the year for running bigger, lively wonderful training events for allied health professionals and anyone interested in learning about couples therapy. You can subscribe to my training calendar here.
