Lights Up Kids Festival 2026 - Flight Path Theatre

Lights Up Kids Festival is an annual performing arts festival for children aged 5–12, presented by Flight Path Theatre and Shiny Heart Productions, in the heart of Marrickville.

Over three days this spring school holidays, kids dive into drama, music and dance — watching professional performances, getting hands-on in workshops with professional performing artists, and taking the stage themselves. Whatever your child loves, there is a place for them here.

WATCH the world premiere of Mooncake — a brand new puppetry show by Shiny Heart Productions. One moon. Many stories. Far from home. Never alone.

CREATE in hands-on performing arts workshops — puppetry, drama, musical theatre, improv and comedy, and songwriting with Toy Choir. No experience required.

PERFORM in the inaugural Inner West Talent Quest — sing, dance, act, play music or show us what you've got. Solo, duo or group. Free to enter. $1,000 in prizes.

CAMP with us all day — our Performing Arts Holiday Camp runs 9am–3pm across Wednesday and Thursday, and 9am–12pm Friday for kids aged 5–12, including a free ukulele to take home.
