Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer-support program run by the Cancer Patients Foundation. We offer free in-person and online workshops and Confidence Kits to help people with any type of cancer manage the most common physical and psychological impacts of treatment.
Volunteers are a vital part of what we do and their recruitment and retention is essential to ensuring the quality and consistency of Look Good Feel Better workshops across Australia.
In this role, you will join a small and passionate team and be responsible for ensuring the effective recruitment and retention of a diverse group of volunteers who are engaged in a variety of roles. Key responsibilities include:
Regular liaison with Program Managers to understand and support their volunteer requirements to deliver the program
Source and recruit a quality volunteer work force
Coordinate volunteer use and compliance of online portal
Undertake volunteer Police checks
Ensure volunteers are recognised for their contribution via our Recognition Policy
Maintain volunteer data in our database (Salesforce)
Ensure volunteers comply with policies and procedures
Quarterly reporting
The position is part time and fixed for 10 months as a parental leave cover. Hybrid working available between home and our office in Alexandria.
