Restaurants Where Kids Eat Free!

Going to a restaurant with kids can sometimes be an expensive gamble. Will the $15 kid’s meals go uneaten? Will they drop the whole plate on the floor? Will there be a [insert a once favourite food item here] that they suddenly no longer like? Well, we have scoured the Inner West for some family-friendly venues that not only offer great food, but where kids can eat free. As an added bonus, some of these venues even have a play space, that may avert a meltdown!

So, give yourself a night off the cooking and treat the family to an early dinner out with one of these tasty suggestions.

Every weeknight at this fun Mexican diner, Little Amigos eat free without the spice! The menu covers all the classics – kids can choose from a quesadilla, burrito, DIY taco kit or fish and chips. Activity packs are also available to keep the kids occupied.

Canada Bay Club, Five Dock

On Monday and Tuesday nights at Canada Bay Club, kids eat free when you purchase an adult meal and show your membership card. Recently renovated, The Brasserie now features a fantastic kids playground. Kids can also enjoy free games on selected machines in the kid’s arcade (6pm- 9.30pm). Dinner options include favourites like chicken nuggets, pasta, fish cocktails with chips and pizza.

Haberfield Rowers Club, Haberfield

Overlooking the picturesque Iron Cove Bay, the Haberfield Rower’s Club is the prefect spot for a family-friendly dinner. Kids eat for free every Wednesday night from 5.30pm with every paying member’s main meal. The kid’s menu offers the usual favourites including pasta and fish and chips as well as a ‘rainbow plate’, so you might even get the kids to eat some veggies!

A popular family-friendly restaurant on the Peninsula, kids eat free every night between 5:30-6:30pm. Get one kid’s meal free with every dining adult. Kids are rewarded with a free ice cream sundae if they finish their puzzle!

Every Tuesday, kid’s dinner is just $2, with every adult meal at The Backyard at Briars – a super kid-friendly restaurant attached to the back of the Briars sports club. They have a great kid’s menu with 10 options choose from and to sweeten the deal, kids can choose any flavour gelato from the bar for dessert. Best of all, there is a huge fenced play area where the kids will love the rocking blue cows, playing with the soft toys and the colouring in.
