MLC School would like to congratulate its Class of 2022 on their stunning results in the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
Three students received a perfect IB score (45/45), which is an ATAR of 99.95. In a class of 130 students, overall, 19 received an ATAR of over 99 (15%) and 42 received an ATAR of over 95 (32%). 61% of the HSC cohort were placed on the Distinguished Achievers list, obtaining a result in the highest possible band for one or more courses. Overall, MLC School had 111 mentions on the Distinguished Achievers list.
MLC School students continued the School’s history of excellence in the performing and creative arts. Two HSC students gained 50/50 for Music Extension. An impressive 31% of HSC students were recognised for their work in the performing and creative arts. Four made it to the Showcase Reserve List, while 21 were nominated for Showcases. There were six Showcase selections in the areas of Music, Dance, Drama and Visual Arts. To be nominated for any of these Showcases is a significant achievement as it acknowledges these projects as best in the State. To be selected for a Showcase event is an outstanding recognition.
MLC School girls are supported to study either the HSC or IB in their final two years. The IB Diploma Programme is suitable for those who enjoy a broad range of subjects, while the HSC suits those who wish to specialise in a particular field of study (such as studying a number of science or history units, for example).
