On Wednesday evening 2 May Tramsheds hosted 20 Inner West Mums for a very special Motherโs Day dinner celebrating motherhood with good food and wine. The attendees were nominated by the group for their outstanding contributions to the community.
The event began in Artisan Lane with drinks provided by Bodega 1904 and entrees by Bekya. It was a warm and lively feeling as the attendees put faces to familiar names and got to know each other better offline.
Everyone then moved up to Butcher and the Farmer for a scrumptious selection of shared mains and desserts. The menu was introduced by chef Steve of the 2015 winning MKR duo Will Stewart and Steve Flood.
Inner West Mums founder, Anita Vitanova, gave a short speech thanking all the mums for their contributions in making the community a safer, more supportive place.
Kunjal Shah, from the Inner West Mums admin team, spoke glowingly of the event on her social media yesterday: โLast night I had the honour of sharing my dinner with a group of mums who are literally changing our community from the inside! Women that help other women escape domestic violence, provide support for sufferers of postnatal depression and anxiety, animal rights activists, advocates for autism awareness, legal experts that use their skills to help those that can least afford them and so many more. I am so humbled to have been in such great โmum companyโ.โ
Housed in the former historic Rozelle Tram Depot, Tramsheds opened in 2016 as an exciting food-focused destination. Its has since become a favourite dining spot for locals and those further afield with many noteworthy eateries. In 2017, Inner West Mums formed a partnership with Mirvac, which owns Tramsheds.
The beautiful table flowers were supplied by Petal Post, and each attendee was given a posy to take home with them. Each attendee also received a tote bag with numerous products and vouchers from Tramsheds vendors.
