Spring is nearly upon us, which means it’s time to start thinking about vacation care for the spring school holidays. To help get you started, here’s our guide to fun activities to keep the kids active and entertained during the holidays. From drama performances to outdoor bush adventures, yoga to tennis, there’s something for all ages and interests. Some are offering special discounts for Inner West Mums too!

Acropals

Acropals vacation care

Students will learn new acro-skills and also the featured skills of the day. All Levels are accepted and catered for. We split into three groups based on level, age, and friendship groups, and each group will learn acro-skills appropriate to their level. Everyone usually leaves with a new skill plus a new friend! Each day includes a fun take home craft activity. We also create a routine video just for parents to show off what the kids have learned throughout the day and each day there is a prize hunt for all participants.

Artspark Studio

Spark your creativity and channel your imagination with art and sewing workshops. Discover and enjoy the wonders of our mini-farm and permaculture garden. Artspark studio offers workshops to support and enrich children through in-depth learning. Projects follow the interests of the children, returning to add new insight and build skills. It may seem like fun and games – and it is – but children are learning through exploring creative activities. At Artspark, your children will gain useful life skills like communication, problem solving, social skills, fine motor skills and an essential understanding of sustainability and innovation. Bush Balance

Bush Balance is a session of free play in nature. We bring ropes, tools, buckets, paints and books. The children bring questions, ideas, imagination and games.
The environment provides sticks, rocks, leaves, trees, bugs and mud. It all adds up to a wonderful morning of nature play.

Flying Yogis

The theme this spring is “fun in the sun!” (Yes – we are organising GREAT weather these holidays!). As well as our daily yoga, gymnastics and art classes, we are adding outdoor sports carnivals, craft in nature, picnics, outdoor adventures and more.

We divide into two age groups on most days: years K-2 and years 3-6. During the acrobatics workshops, however, we may split the group by skill (beginners and proficient).

Here’s how to book and save:

Kids Up Front Drama Academy

Kids Up Front Drama Academy run performing ats holiday camps each school holidays at Marrickville Public School. The children sing, act and dance, working throughout the week with specialist teachers to produce a fabulous musical show for their families to come and watch. The five day camps are for ages 5 to 13 years, and run from 9am to 3pm. There’s extended hours (early drop offs from 8am and late pick ups to 5.30pm) included in the cost. The theme for the September Camp is ‘Toy Tales’, which will include well known characters from Toy Story, Sesame Street and The Muppets!

Musical Makers Club

Our school holiday groups are ideal for children preparing for school, looking to learn or improve their bike riding skills, as well as making and selling coffee and cakes in a social and fun environment. Voyager Tennis

Junior Tennis: Join us for a full, fun day of tennis for all abilities with professional coaches, including skills development and match play. The classes are held at Cintra Park Tennis and Sports Centre. All levels and abilities are welcome.
