How we make a difference in the lives of Inner West Mums
The Inner West Mums group was set up over 5 years ago, when founder, Anita Vitanova’s firstborn was 1, “Most of the mums in my mothers group went back to work and I wanted to connect with more local mums.”
In 5 years the group has grown to over 20,000 mums from the Inner West. The group is a supportive network for mums and mums to be, where we can rely on each other for advice, practical help, and recommendations on local businesses.
What many people don’t know is that we put lots of effort in giving back to the community.
Our fundraising movie nights we have raised over $13,000, which enabled us to buy 4 privacy screens for the Baby Care Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
At Christmas, our group members and many local businesses donated more than $5000 to allow us to produce 100 food hampers that were delivered to the Assylum Seekers Centre.
Inner West Mums is also very proud to promote acceptance, diversity and equality though our group and we are also advocates of preventing Domestic Violence. We facilitate anonymous posts on topics that are of sensitive nature and our members would like to protect their privacy.
