Celebrate Halloween at Taronga’s Boo at the Zoo Event!

Taronga Zoo will be hosting a special, family-friendly event this Halloween called Boo at the Zoo! The event is taking place between 5:30pm and 8:30pm on Saturday 31 October and lets guests explore the zoo after hours, whilst enjoying some spooktacular entertainment including the Halloween-themed QBE Free Flight Bird Show, Seals for the Wild presentation and Spider Talk.

Dress up in a Halloween costume and get ready for literally the “wildest” Halloween event in town. From creepy crawly spider lanterns and deliciously ghoulish treats, to spooky entertainment and the opportunity to see one of three Halloween-inspired presentations! There’s so much on offer to delight big and little kids alike.

Taronga Zoo Director Alex Emson said Boo at the Zoo was a great way to have some fun, but also share an important message. “Aside from being a great night out for the whole family, Boo at the Zoo is also a fantastic way for us to raise awareness about the scary fate facing some of most iconic species in the wild, and how you too can help. So, put together your wildest Halloween costume and bring your adventurous spirit for a great night out at Taronga Zoo,” said Emson.

Tickets are priced at $27 for adults, $24.30 for concessions and $22 for children and are available for purchase via Moshtix. Zoo Friends and Corporate Partners will save 10% on tickets.

As Taronga is non-for-profit organisation all the revenue raised through this event goes back into supporting Taronga’s ongoing work for caring for animals within Taronga Zoo Sydney and Taronga Western Plains. The funds also go towards more than 60 conservation and research projects in Australia and around the globe.
