Description

Create a colourful community artwork inspired by the traditional Indian art of rangoli in this free, family-friendly workshop led by Sydney artist Gauri Torgalkar.

Drawing on patterns, colour and storytelling, participants of all ages are invited to help create a temporary rangoli installation inspired by Monica Rani Rudhar's new public artwork, Home Under My Feet and Bells in My Ears. Gauri's practice explores the meeting of Indian cultural traditions and Australian landscapes, and this hands-on workshop offers a joyful opportunity to learn about rangoli while making art together.

Suitable for all ages and abilities. No experience required.
