Want a light festival with animals thrown in? Be sure to visit GLOW at Sydney Zoo, Eastern Creek. From 5.30pm – 10pm each evening from 12 May to 3 June, over 70 giant animal lanterns and installations will dazzle kids and adults alike. There’s also a GLOW Zone with rides, arcade games and activities, roving performers and local food trucks serving burgers, ice-cream, fairy floss and more. Did you know GLOW is the only light festival in Sydney where you can explore an underwater world at night? If you have kids who love aquariums, don’t miss the After Dark At the Aquarium experience.

GLOW Light Walk
The GLOW Light Walk will amaze visitors with over 70 giant animal lanterns and installations creatively incorporated into the Sydney Zoo landscape. You won’t miss the brightly coloured Kaurna Skink – at 27kms in length it’s one of the largest light installations at GLOW.
Underwater Wonderland
Wander through the glowing kelp forest and admire the gliding, glimmering Jellyfish dancing above you. Proudly supported by 7NEWS.
7NEWS Ferris wheel
Enjoy the magical view from the colourful gondolas of the 7NEWS Ferris wheel.
Aquarium After-Dark
Have you got little ones who love under-the-sea animals? GLOW is the only light festival in Sydney where you can explore the underwater world in the Aquarium After-Dark experience. Be sure to check out this experience!
Rainbow Walk
Dance and jump across the Rainbow Walk as the colourful lights guide you on your journey.
Lantern Walk
Discover giant animal lanterns nestled in the Australia Precinct, including a kookaburra, eagle, snake platypus, turtle and more!
FREE GLOW Ochre Face Painting
Fancy some face painting with a difference? Using GLOWing ochre, First Nations guides will provide face-painting with traditional symbols so kids and adults can shine in the dark.
Reptile House Dreamtime Experience
What’s a zoo visit without a lizard or two? Experience the Reptile & Nocturnal House in a new light as you wander beneath the Dreamtime Experience and come face to face with hundreds of snakes, lizards, frogs, and insects.
Roving Performers
Be entertained by spectacular roving performers in illuminated costumes.
But wait, there’s more.
In the GLOW Zone, kids and adults can test their skills in a retro Neon Arcade featuring Dance Dance Revolution, Basketball League, Claw Machine and more. There’s Glowy Golf by Carnival Cruise Line – an illuminated mini-putt golf experience – and the bigger kids will love the thrill of the KIIS Rides Zone including a new mind-blowing Vortex Tunnel, gigantic 8-lane Superslide, dizzying Space Jam, and Kids Dodgems.
Didn’t pack a picnic basket? With 10 food and dessert trucks including Blackbear BBQ, Smashville Burgers and Dessert Dealer, not to mention a Mulled Wine Hut and Glow Bar for parents, you won’t have to worry about feeding your clan.
