There’s a lot going on for kids at Marrickville Metro over Christmas!
The Centre’s Kids Eat Free promotion launched last week and runs until December 30. Pop in with the kids for some shopping and lunch – or better still, have night off cooking – and receive a free children’s meal from one of 10 participating restaurants. Stop by and say hello to Santa while you’re there, he’s set up outside Vodafone. Or book in for one of the Centre’s summer craft sessions and watch the kids make slime, a wooden spinner and more. There’s workshops for adults too.
If you haven’t checked out the new Smidmore Street building, the ground floor is devoted to all things food, including an eat street-style layout with outdoor (but undercover) seating. The kids can tuck into favourites like spaghetti bolognese from The Grumpy Italian, or nuggets and chips from Karl’s Charcoal Chicken; or more adventurous offerings like chicken udon noodle soup from Japanese restaurant Motto Motto (pictured above), or Hainanese chicken with rice ball and soup from Nanyang Malaya Café. You can find the full list of restaurants and dishes, plus the terms and conditions, here.
The offer is available Monday to Thursday, for children aged under 12 years. And only with the purchase of a main meal.
