Launching on 6 April and located at the top of the zoo, visitors can experience Nura Diya.Β Translating to βthis Countryβ in the language of the Cammeraigal People who inhabited the land where the zoo is located, itβs an apt name for the new immersive habitat of native flora and fauna which will allow guests to gain a deeper understanding of the relationship First Nations people have with the land. Walk through the bushland setting where you might find a kangaroo or dingo hiding behind each leafy corner.
Up high, Nura Diyaβs new canopy walk will wind its way through treetops so guests can get up close to Australiaβs favourite sleepy marsupial, the koala.
Genetically gifted? Fantastically fit? Energy savvy? Sound like a Marvel movie? Guess again. Energy provider Red Energyβs SPECIES with SPARK Trail showcases the crazily clever animals around the zoo. Grab a complimentary kids map and pencil and follow the trail which will lead kids to the activity hub on the concert lawn.
