Looking for a fun stress-free activity to do with the kids? Considered plaster painting? The Little Plaster Shop in Concord is a great choice for a low-key outing, come rain or shine.
An attractive, light-filled space, The Little Plaster Shop aims to encourage those of all ages to tap into their creative side.
There is a large array of plaster moulds with both kid and adult appeal from which to choose. Other available designs include wooden art pieces or canvases. A generous selection of paint colours, aprons and brushes are all provided (and included in the cost per design). Once a design has been painted, the staff will add optional glitter and a gloss spray to finish.

On the day we visited, we found the owner Andrea to be inviting and so kind and patient with all of the children. When one of our own little Picassos’ works didn’t quite go to plan, Andrea gently explained how the mistake could be easily corrected – crisis averted!

Even parents and carers are encouraged to get creative, and when we visited the studio we noticed several mums were enjoying painting plaster moulds themselves – just as much as their kids, it seemed! The studio runs regular plaster painting nights for adults.
In addition, The Little Plaster Shop holds private children’s and adults’ parties. Only one party is held at a time in the studio. Packages include the plasters, paints, glitter, gloss, decorations and a party coordinator for 1.5– 2 hours. Hosts may bring their own cake and any party food. The shop can also provide all the supplies needed for a successful plaster painting party at home.

Located on a wide street with plenty of parking available, the studio also has ramp access. Highly recommended!
