🐰 Sydney Family Easter Show – Moore Park

Think Easter Show energy, but scaled for younger families and school holiday fun.

Taking over the Entertainment Quarter during the April holidays, the Sydney Family Easter Show combines classic carnival attractions with Easter-themed entertainment. Kids can explore sideshow alley, bounce through giant inflatable obstacle courses and watch stunt shows including motorcycle and bike displays.

The real highlight for many families is the massive Easter egg hunt, where thousands of chocolate eggs are hidden across the venue. Younger kids will love the animal nursery, where they can meet baby farm animals and rabbits, while older kids tend to make a beeline for the carnival rides.

Food trucks and showbags round out the experience, making this an easy half-day or full-day outing depending on your children’s stamina.

When: 2–19 April 2026
Cost: Adult $30 | Child $15 | Family $75 (rides additional)

For families who prefer storytelling and imagination over carnival chaos, this charming theatre experience in Centennial Park is a lovely alternative.

Alice in Easterland is an interactive stage production inspired by Alice in Wonderland, where kids help Alice navigate a whimsical Easter adventure through Wonderland. Along the way they’ll meet familiar characters including the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts — with plenty of audience participation woven into the performance.

Children are encouraged to dress up and bring their Easter bonnets for the parade element of the show, which makes it particularly fun for preschool and primary school-aged kids.

The relaxed outdoor setting also makes it an easy outing to combine with a picnic or bike ride around Centennial Park afterwards.

The Grounds goes all-in on seasonal styling, so expect pastel decorations, Easter characters roaming the venue and plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

Spots are limited and this one sells out quickly every year, so booking ahead is essential.
